The Full Story of Venom Brews
Venom Brews started the way all the best ideas do—over a drink after a long day’s work. Snakebite and blackcurrant had always been our go-to, that perfect mix of lager, cider, and a splash of blackcurrant for a bold, fruity twist. One night it hit us: why had no one ever canned it or put it on tap? What seemed so obvious hadn’t been done, and that spark quickly turned into an obsession. We began meeting at one of our homes, turning kitchen tables into research hubs, spending months figuring out how we could make this forgotten favourite accessible to everyone. The road was anything but smooth—dozens of companies told us no, doors closed before they even opened. But with each rejection, we learned, refined, and kept pushing. Finally, we found the perfect partner who understood our vision. Then came the real test: money. With no investors or safety nets, we built Venom Brews from the ground up, each of us working up to three jobs just to self-fund the dream. What started as a casual pint with friends has become a mission—to bring snakebite and blackcurrant back, bolder and better than ever, and to prove that with enough grit, passion, and belief, even the wildest ideas can strike.
